Are there any programs that let you get a song off of a CD and convert it to a mp3 file?

A free product called cdex, look on cnet.com.....it works wonders..it has an encoder built in....actually whatever one you use. Any bitrate you want too.....personally i like it.

If you are a beginner, use cdex...but if you want really high perfect quality, use exact audio copy. A little bit complicated since you gotta download the lame encoder along with it, but exact audio copy will prevent crackling and pops in the rips. this is free also and highly recommended around the net.

I use Mp3Blaster for ripping and Mpegsuite for encoding. Im quite happy with them.
