Well i havent always been a trance dj, i just got into trance latley about a year ago. B4 that i djed euro and club trance. I sorta got the hang of it easily cuz the beats were so clear in euro u can hear them so easily and u understand them its always 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4. I went to go practice at a local club of my friends on a sat(no people there) so i played trance i beatmatched maybee 3 songs the whole night i just cant get a hang of it....is it cuz i need to familiarize my self with the music more?

Beatmatching should be exactly the same.

Make sure you phrase match your songs though, it makes all the difference. Phrase matching in trance is when you cue your next song on the start of the first of 32 beats (4 bars of 8 beats). When the song currently playing hits a new phrase (usually has a cymbal crash on it), you want to start your second song on that beat so both songs are not only just beatmatched, but also phrase matched.
