Dunno McCain uses internet for the first time

No offense, but McCain is seriously out of touch with the world. Doesn't know how to use the internet. Doesn't know his geography. Or even know his perceived enemies, remember this?..."Iran trains Al-Qaida."

quote:
McCain Makes Historic First Visit to Internet

In a daring bid to wrench attention from his Democratic rival in the 2008 presidential race, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) today embarked on an historic first-ever visit to the Internet.

Given that the Arizona Republican had never logged onto the Internet before, advisors acknowledged that his first visit to the World Wide Web was fraught with risk.

But with his Democratic rival Barack Obama making headlines with his tour of the Middle East and Europe, the McCain campaign felt that they needed to "come up with something equally bold for John to do," according to one advisor.

McCain aides said that the senator's journey to the Internet will span five days and will take him to such far-flung sites as Amazon.com, eBay and Facebook.

With a press retinue watching, Sen. McCain logged onto the Internet at 9:00 AM Sunday, paying his first-ever visit ever to Mapquest.com.

"I can't get this [expletive] thing to work," Sen. McCain said as he struggled with his computer's mouse, causing his wife Cindy to prompt him to add that he was "just kidding."

Having pronounced his visit to Mapquest a success, Sen. McCain continued his tour by visiting Weather.com and Yahoo! Answers, where he inquired as to the difference between Sunnis and Shiites.

Sen. McCain said that he had embarked on his visit to the Internet to allay any fears that he is too out-of-touch to be president, adding that he plans to take additional steps to demonstrate that he is comfortable with today's technology: "In the days and weeks ahead, you will be seeing me rock out with my new Walkman."

Self pwn.

Its only a matter of time now before he discovers the the true value of the internet. Porn. ANd for an old man unaccustomed to that, when he first stumbles to a free porn site or heaven forbid to a thumbnail site...why he may never leave the computer again. The whole campaing down the tubes because McCain stubles on one of those "i have just turned 18 and im sleeping with a man old enough to be my grandfather" sites.

The world didn't always evolve around the internet. There were great leaders before the internet age. What is your point? What does political philosophy have to do with whether a person uses the internet or not.

I mean, look at you. You wish to become president of a forum and he wishes to become president of a superpower nation.

You must of forgotten the majority of the campaign funds made by candidates such as Ron Paul and Obama, which by the way broke all-time records, is made from the internet. Understanding the media medium is VERY IMPORTANT to the leader of the country. Leaders before the internet knew how to use the media to their advantage. Republicans rely on character attacks (as you just did) to win elections, well guess what I'm doing, I'm attacking his detachment from one of the main drivers of the modern world. The man is out of touch...

Boo fucking hoo...

I honestly wouldnt be surprised if he wins the election since many people down there are looking at him as a person who is well qualified to answer that phone call at 3:00AM.

This guy McCain is even worse than Bush, he will do in one term what Bush did in two terms.

I think the article is made-up, but McCain himself admits that he's completely illiterate when it comes to computers. The real joke is that this guy is only down by a couple of points in the polls.

If I wanted to attack your character, I would do a better job at it.

Don't you have to run an election now? Why are you spending time with me? Go get your votes!

How has the internet changed peoples views on politics? Sure it has changed the way we see the world, but some things are the way they are. If you wanted to make the statement that all leaders should know their media, well McCain does a pretty good job at it considering all the hype that Obama is getting from kids like you. He is trailing just a couple of points.

Obama should be up at least 15 percent now. What is happening? How is the use of internet relevant in this case?

What I also find funny is that most of the left was all for McCain when he was not running on how great he is, etc etc.

I am not here to defend McCains political views because I don't agree with a lot of his views, but stating such a comment is ridiculous.

Perhaps the world in your eyes revolves around the internet and that is why you are running for the president of a forum.
