I agree with quddha, that's quite a bit to spend on some headphones, considering they are more than the turntables. I'm still a beginner as well, but I do know that you should NOT skimp when it comes to the turntables. I got myself the standard MK2's and they are indestructible. Why do I say this? That's cuz I dropped BOTH of them on accident 4 feet from the ground and they landed face down. I picked them back up and NOTHING was wrong with them. I don't suggest you try that all the time though...
Anyhow, regarding the mixer, my buddy has a Numark DM-1002x and I think it's a pretty good mixer considering he only paid $150 for it. This sounds like a newer model, so I'd say it isn't a bad investment. He's has his for 2 years now and the only thing going out on it now is the crossfader.
I got my setup hooked to my home stereo as well with some cheap ass 50 dollar speakers I bought off ebay and I have no problems whatsoever.
Your choice though man, I wouldn't spend that much on headphones if they cost more than the TT's. I'm using some 60 dollar Sony headphones a friend let me borrow that work just fine for now, until I get enough cash to get some other ones. There was a sticky somewhere on this forum that recommended headphones, so I'd check that out if you're looking for more info on headphones.
Sorry this post is so long, but I hope it helps a little. I'm still new at this as well, so don't take my word as the final word - ask around to get a better picture of what you want to do.
peace out
