Nice to hear. Not the first time a DJ has said that. There's an article I read in DJ Mag or iDJ a few years back (2004/2005) where Ferry said the same thing. And correct me if I'm wrong Armin said it too.

I remember the time back in 05 when Piet came to the predrinks at a pub by Guvvy we were all at... Tyler (i think) and someone else picked him up at his hotel and brought him over.
When they arrived, all the TAs (maybe 20-25 of us?) got up and gave him a standing ovation so to speak.... just mad clapping for a minute.
EVERYONE else in the bar was like "WTF Who is this guy??" you could tell. They were wondering why the hell we all got up to clap at his arrival.... lol
that was funny.
Ya, and for the record: Love Piet. Good guy. Great DJ.
