Who wants to be president of the PDD?!?!? $20 prize
$20 to the winner of the election!!
I was wondering if, for a $20 prize, you guys want to do a mock presidential election based on this thread...CLICK
Candidates choose your party. If there are two candidates from the same party, that party needs to hold a primary, unless you choose to be running mates. You can choose to have a running mate, or not to. But that running mate needs to be a TA member. You can make up your party and policies however you see fit. Or you could represent a real party, in America, or whatever parties are active in whatever country you live in..
This is how it goes down...
1. Candidacy Thread (8/14->8/31)
If by next Thursday, this thread gets a majority of "yes" in poll, I will start the "candidacy thread". In the candidacy thread, candidates will make their candidacy known, what party they are represent, and if they choose, who their running mate is. Running mates can be included at any time during the election. This thread will be open for 2 weeks, and then be closed. All candidates must provide a policy for all 11 policy categories. The minimum for each policy is just 1 sentence. So you don't need to spend hours writing a detailed policy. Everyone's policies should answer the 11 policy questions in this thread...CLICK...I WILL COPY DIRECTLY FROM THIS THREAD THE POLICY OF EACH CANDIDATE, SO MAKE IT GOOD.
2. First Round Election (9/1->9/30)
I will start the "Official 1st Round PDD Election Thread" after the candidates thread is closed. Here is where I post each candidate, what each candidates policies are, their political party, and their running mate. This first round will end with just 4 candidates. On 9/30/2008, I will close this thread and start the second round.
3. Second Round Election (10/1->10/20)
The second round will start after the close of the first round. Voters will choose from among 4 candidates who are left after the first round. This round will close on 10/28/2008. This round will end with just 2 candidates.
4. Final Round Election (10/21->11/4)
The final round will coincide with the US presidential election. Voters will choose from between two candidates and their running mates (if they choose to have one). It would be nice for the final candidates to have a running mate. Whoever wins this round, WILL BE ELECTED THE PRESIDENT OF THE PDD!!! YAYYYYYY!!!
