Day 1 Review.
Jay , Polly and I woke up @ approx 10:30 AM Saturday morning, all beat up but excited. After we ate lunch, we were really pumped for the show.
Except me in this picture. Hehhe
Well, we arrive at the gates wondering where to pick up the tickets. Took us about 20 minutes or so, not too bad.
We came to the Dance Tent around 1pm. This unknown DJ was playing a decent electro set. Pretty impressive.
As I was getting use to the place, I met up with bunch of locals including Zoltar "The Brother From Another Planet" and then DCgirly and her sister.

DJ Dan and Donald Glaud came on to the stage, rock the place. Apparently, not only Donald is a DJ, he is a male cheerleader too hehe.

DJ Dan and Donald played Novy Vs Eniac-Pumpin, Fatboy Slim-*69 and lots of Daft Punk remixes including Around The World. Great set all around.
And den guess who showed up?
Yeah the SFTA's w00t!!
Then I went off to see The offsprings for something different. I got to say, I am not big offspring fan. I was hopping to hear "Why don't you get a job", so I didn't stay up for that.
I went back to the tent as usual, and there he was
Even more interesting person came in to the tent.
Yeah, that was a guy with a tooth brush. No kidding.
Jay was getting some...
Soulwax came on to the stage. What it appears to be a rock band with vocalist and a drummer, but they played EDM which was cool
I wanted to know if SFTA wanted to meet the local DCTA. Rizo was like sure.
Steve Lawler did play a decent minimal set from my opinion. But we were all waiting for Ferry to come on.
Ferry started pretty strong with some electro sounds and then went to the his classic routes with Binary Finary-1999 (Gouryella Remix) and he finished with PUNK!!! Freaking awesome. Never mind the body surfing and the mushpit a dance tent. It was a great show. I was pretty warn out, and then bam!!
StarSoprano!!!!
We had to grab a couple of drinks I had a cup of Mojito and she had a vodka/cranberry juice drink. Good times, I was getting pretty buzzed after the budlight.
Underworld was pretty cool, but we were figuring out where to go from there on. One of my friend wanted to just chill at his apartment, but the majority TA wanted to go see Breakfast @ Ibiza.
Apparently, I give out bad direction lol.
Franky, Gilbert, Erica, and I headed down first, only to find the cover charge was 25 bux!!!! Rip off!! Here are some photos from Ibiza
and the after after party.

Yeah, Gilbert and Franky didn't sleep for the that 48 hours.

Franky still got it going on LoL!!
That's it for day one!!! Up next, Day 2. Stay Tuned.

Day 2 Review "Where the fuck is the Double Tree Hotel"???
We came home from Breakfast, the food, not the DJ, around 6:30AM.
Rizo, Erica, Franky, Jay, Polly, and I were all sitting down on the floor by 2pm playing Street Fighter II ST. Well mostly Jay and I. I still pwn him, no questions ask :-P
We got to the race course around 2:50pm, only to find out that deadmau5 was playing "Reward is cheese" Mr. Joel Zimmerman did play a mashup of workidz-washmachine with some other accepella. It was pretty cool.
Of course Joel has to put his helmet (summer edition) on for the show.

Meanwhile, I step out of tent again to catch up with a friend of mine from UMBC. She was doing some sort of neat things with gravity.

Richie Hawtin was okay. Remember I am not a big fan of minimal.

I gotta say Moby did an awesome set, track selection wise. DJing side, he was meh, because I kept on hearing little trainwecks in every transitions. Moby 3rd track was Basement Jaxx-Where is your head at, and he accidentally press the cue button on the CDJ. WOW, DJ Armando, the guy from XM BPM channel was like Moby did make it back by playing R.I.O-De Janeiro (SH Project Remix) and lots of electro stuff. I was quite please with his set. He didn't waste any time at all, the music just kept on building and building.

The most crappy part according to my co-worker is that, NIN, Kanye West, and Armin van Buuren were all playing at the same time.
He and I went out for little bit for food. We went to see NIN, they played "Closer" which made me really happy!!
We went to the south stage for Kanye West, but the boy isn't coming on, and "I said fuck it, I am going to see Armin"

Balding!!

Overall, Armin's set was okay. I walked in when he started to play "Going Wrong" (Sean Tyas Remix) Armin encore was U2-Beautiful Day (Mat Zo Remix) beautiful finish.
Overall review. This is one festival that is going down in the history as long as I live! This is one of the best birthday present ever!!! Big thanks to Swamper for hooking it up.

FIN. :-)
PS here are some pictures that didn't make it to the top.

Cute girl!

DJ Armando from XM BPM Channel.

For a complete set of pictures, I have it everything up at my website as well as facebook and of course day 2
