You're Listening to a Live Mix/Set...

and without warning, the music stops. most of the time, the volume just kinda fades down until silence. then, it'll fade upwards again back to full volume, and the set will continue as if nothing happened (but obvioously)

anyways, i'm curious to see if anyone has a clue as to what this could be? why do live dj sets have pauses in them - most of the time the second part won't even be continuing on the same song that the first part was playing. this happens a lot in my paul van dyk sets...

any thoughts?

now that makes a lot of sense! kudos buddy

most of the time i figured that the dj had to stop the music because the crowd was getting too rowdy or somebody was climbing up a pillar like at global gathering (or maybe godskitchen? i'm not sure) a few years back. but every single time? i got doubtful so i asked the question.

thanks!

I didn't know that, thanks.
What's the difference, though? Who mixed it?
