hey guys i made a thread a few weeks ago about a setup and had a lot of good feedback. i took into account what you guys had to say and am looking to buy this setup tomorrow. my only concerin is that the audio interface won't be able to handle a lot of plug in's at once... but anywhay, here is what i plan on getting:

Mackie mr5 active studio monitors $150
Echo audiofire4 audio interface $300
m-audio oxygen-61 midi keyboard $150

i'm really hoping i like the audiofire4 because i'm shelling out 300 dollars for it! let me know what you think...

just be sure u got firewire on your comp. audiofire is awesome. btw 300USD aint very much. u might wanna get better monitors (i dont know them but the price is like too low to be quality imo)

I think the mackies are actually $200.

I'm not a mackie fan personally. But from what I've heard these monitors do stand their ground in this price range.

Haven't heard these speakers myself, purely talking about word of mouth.

And audiofire is awesome indeed. Using my audiofire12 more and more each day
