I see the word being thrown around and i dont understand it. Seems to me anybody who likes only one kind of music is a hipster? What is wrong with that?

Hipster is basically just a name for young gentrifying trendies who like whatever "obscure" music their favorite magazines and websites toss at them -- little baby bohemians with trust funds, anti-corporate ideologies, and lots of time for fashion and music.

i lived in williamsburg and worked as a freelance graphic designer in an apartment with a bunch of art school grads who crashed on the couches. combine that with the fact that I had a DJ setup in my room and argue with people on messageboards...
