fashion tips from GQ's style guy...
here's something i read in GQ... err... its not MY GQ... my bro has a subscriptiopn, =P.
if you're not familiar with GQ (gentleman's quarterly), there's a section by some dude named the style guy. people ask him questions about how to dress and stuff. since GQ is a magazine that caters to the wealthier segment of society, i found it kinda funny. this was a letter sent in by some snotty, 16 year old dickhead, who thinks he's cool or something.
QUESTION: i'm 16 years old and a loyal reader of GQ. i've been told that i "dress to impress". the problem is that some of my closest friends dress as if they shop at wal-mart. in fact, i think they do. they are nice guys and girls in other respects, but i almost always decline their offers to go out because of the way they dress. am i being too picky about my friends' style? which designer labels should i introduce my fashion-uncinscious friends to that won't give them a reality shock? i believe they need a wake up call.
STYLE GUY: don't worry about them, son. there's nothing wrong with shopping at wal-mart that punching you in the stomach won't cure.
hahaha... didn't expect that answer... i thought the style guy was a snob too. guess i was wrong.
