Read This! ableton - unit values and % in clip envelope

Yo Yo

Does anyone know how to change the value system in clip view? When im using a filter for example, the 'frequency' envelope has a range of values between 0 & 100%. At 100% however, the frequency on the filter its self is 26hz, not 20khz (the maximum value on the filter).

I want to see the full range of filter values in clip view. That is all frequencies from 0 to 20khz. Much in the same way that i can see velocity range from 0 to 127.

After adding some moar analog, a little sidechain, and searching for an answer, i am yet to overcome this problem.

your comments are appreciated.

In clip envelopes, the values are relative to the position of the filter. So you need to set the filter exactly half way. Then lowering the envelope will fully close the filter, raising the envelope will fully open it. I hope this makes sense, I haven't explained my slef very well.

In arrangement view, it works different though as the automation in arrangement will position thr filter properly regardless of where it is set.

I explained this crap. Someone else explain it better please.

no but what would you need them for? Use your ears to decide the right setting, not a numerical value
