timewriter is like the AOL of deep 'tech' house
really easy to use, and everyone has it

And absolutely zero depth or variety. Timewriter productions are so stagnant it hurts.
Used to like his stuff when I first got into him but eh, lately very boring.

but after discovering labels like 'moon harbour' and 'a touch of class' that are out there, plastic city doesn't really hold a candle anymore
timewriter for me is like stryke. some good tracks but something about them always turns me off. stryke = john beltran lite

Disagree. I actually have tunes from both those labels in Gonzo, and I'm a big fan - but I don't know that I can really ever relegate Plastic City to second class status. I can admit they haven't been terrific the past year or so - but there's just so much depth there, that perhaps I'm personally willing to hold on to a bit of hope PC could return to its former glory.

+1... I really liked some of his more proggy stuff like "Handsome Machine", but when I tried to check up on other productions, I found it to be bland.
Unfortunately, I can't get to Beatport to check out samples, but I'd love to be proven wrong.
