You'll need to be more specific. How are you editing the vocals? Why do they need to "sound better" - what is the problem that you're having? What do you mean by "...sound better as well with effects?"

You need the DJ sammy vocal plugin. Or talent. Maybe the second one.

It sounds more like you are looking for a plugin with Presets for vocals. Have been there, done that, and unfortunately, vocals are one of the most complicated things to learn to mixdown properly in the begin. The quality of the recording, colour of the singer, etc, can change so much from one singer to other, plus for the genre you have plans to use it, etc, that you will have to be very versatile. The only thing I could tell you is, experience is the key, trial and error.

Kopi =o.

Use a Mac, PCs make the vocals sound unprofessional.

True

I agree on Melodyne, check out the Celemony website. Its not cheap but well worth the price.

That very much depends on what you need... Maybe he's talking about compression or EQ? or reverb and Delay? We have no idea. And I doubt hes even going to respond. So who cares?
Aside from which, theres already a whole thread on vocal tricks and FX the lazy bugger hasn't even read, and he clearly has no idea what hes doing. So he still needs talent even if he buys melodyne - unless they're doing package deal now?
