I have a pair of the new KRK VXT6 monitors and they sound great. Problem is that they all sound great to me as I'm new to production. I've had a good friend tell me to get the Dynaudio 5A's instead for the same money.

I know this is a personal preference thing and that you have to listen to them both. I've done that and can't tell a difference but I don't want to find in six months when I CAN tell a difference that I should have switched...

My opinion... stick with what you have, learn it inside out. And just live with it if you don't like it afterwards. If you can't hear the difference now you can't tell which one will be better for you in the long run, so the change could be for better or for worse.

I prefer the dynuadio's though.

My suggestion is to mix on the VXT6 and stop wasting your time with minor things like this. No matter what monitor you get you'll have to learn how to mix with it so that your mix will translate well to other systems. If you want to get rid of your VXT6 to go for something with an 8" woofer for a better low end, that is not a bad idea but Dyna 5A isn't that strong in the bass department either.
