Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon called "The Room"?
I would put this in the Cor, but it only pertains to Texas I think.
I have this friend here that is very much a socialite in Dallas. So, she tells me about this little social org she is in called "the Room". Evidentally this also happens in Houston. From the looks of it, you basically pay money to have friends to hang out with and be considered a part of the 'in' crowd. Uh, no thanks.
Don't know if any of you are in this or know anyone in this. But that's pretty fucking sad that in post fraternal days someone still finds the need to buy friends and quasi-status.

That is just f'ing ridiculous. And people pay money for this?
I guess it's only fair. If they hung around people like us, we would tell them what a bunch of fucking douchebags they are. No charge.
