New Anthem track.

Sound is messed up, like all of my songs.
But this one I think is a lot better.

The sound quality is low because I exported it low so it could be a smaller size.
The mixing (like not DJing but actually the final mix) is off, because I dont know how to make it right.

Anyways, advice guys?
Like it? Dont like it? Dont like the bass? Like the melodies? etc...

Gabriel; thank you for your feedback.
Now Im going to try to question it (not trying to make me better, but to learn)

The bassline was actually a new idea, I looked on a youtube video and it told me to move the bassline up a little bit, and I got the sound I wanted. So I can always make improvements on that.

For the reverb, was the main lead to reverb-filled? Or was it other things. I didnt add reverb on anything, I think it all just came with it.

I listen to a lot of trance, I love it.
I just feel liek I cant really express myself by making trance, if that makes any sense.
Like I listen to it, but I cant (re)produce it.

I know you wanted to keep it small but the quality is ridiculous.
Honestly this track sounds to me like it came from a 15 year old guy. Lots of potential but no production values. You simply need to play with it until you're happy with what you hear. And not only happy as an artist but also as a mastering engineer. What I mean is make sure your track sounds as good as other tracks from the technical point of view. Once you know enough to sound decent I think your music will start making more sense.

What synths do you use? It sounds a little like you didn't master them yet.... The long drone sound that comes in first. I think you could do more with it. It chokes in the beginning and I liked that... Maybe you can loop it? Try to get more out of your synths...

But I think idea is there. Don't give up. I think if you stick to it you'll end up with something quite nice...

Mood; Gotcha. So do you know how I can make the size small while maintain quality?
And not too bad of a guess. Im 16. Probably way to young to start production right? :/
So is there a way to compare the sound (not like SOUND, but the general mastering sound) like side to side, for a comparison? Or do I tweak it, then listen to it through reason, and then listen to some other song through iTunes.

I used Reason 4. Specifically, Ill list out the instruments used.
Energetic Trancepad
Mechanical Lead
Ambient PPG Piano
Techno Wind
self-customized Techno Kit 01
Bassy Bass
Velo-City Trance Lead
As I think I said, I didnt customize any of the sounds besides the kit, and I used the rotarys for cutoff/filter if that counts.

Thanks man.
I thought this was probably my best one, the rest of them are on my myspace band. But if you can tell I havent made trance since a long time, probably in late May (after school).

Anyways thanks dude. Tonight Ill go try to remaster it.

Upload at least 128kbps mp3. It will be a few MBs big but that's ok. As far as the age goes you're never too young to learn mastering. Actually the earlier you start the better because it takes a lot of time Try video tutorials and maybe sign up for a class if you're really serious about it.
Sure, go to itunes or beatport.com and listen to the productions that sell. However without the knowledge it's gonna be hard to make it sound the way you want it.
Sorry I don't use Reason so I can't be a lot of help there.

I think in your case you'll be just fine if you just stick to it and keep trying...
