Well there's the obvious Oakenfold essential mixes. Should be easy to find and they're pretty good.

Best set by far is the millenium eve essential mix by oakenfold!
The intro is epic even by today's standards you gotta hand it to BT, he was mostly responsible for the tracks in the first 20 minutes those tracks truly stand the test of time
listen to that set
another set which stands the test of time from 1999?
In Search Of Sunrise (The Original)

And For you House fans out there WHO LOVE DESYN MASIELLO!
U might want to check out the promo mix he sent in 1999 MOJO GROOVES
check that out you will be impressed!
Promo CDs if they are as ahead of the curve as that one can still make a lot of impressions

I'd recommend Scott Bond's Essential Mix from the beginning of 1999, simply amazing is an understatement....

I mean just look at this tracklist!!!

Indigo - "Here Comes The Rain" (Bedlam)
Ron Hagen & Pascal M - "Forever" (Jinx)
Chrome - "The Fly" (Taaach)
Fridge - "Paradise" (Go For It)
KayCee - "Escape [Signum Remix]" (Additive)
Gouryella - "Gouryella" (Tsunami)
Tilt - "Children [Courtyard Mix]" (Jetz Music)
DJ Tiesto presents Control Freaks - "Sub Space Interference" (Planetary Consciousness)
Humate - "Love Stimulation" (Deviant)
Evolver - "Evolver" (Planetary Consciousness)
Liquid Child - "Diving Faces 99 [Thumper Mix]" (Neo)
The Other Two - "You Can Fly [Quake Dub]" (ffrr)
System F - "Out Of The Blue" (Essential Recordings)
Desert Moon - "Galbi [Choopie & Jez Remix]" (Agnosia)
The Muses Rapt - "Spiritual Healing" (white label)
Steve Morley - "Reincarnations [Mystic Groove Edit]" (Neo)
Push - "Universal Nation" (Bonzai Trance)
DJ Sakin & Friends - "Project Your Mind" (Additive)
Pulp Victim - "The World '99 [Moonman Remix]" (Neo)

Amazing or what?

Paul Van Dyk mixes from 1999 are great. Also try Tiesto - Live at Innercity, Essential Mixes (trance ones).
