Oh very nice first track, very groovy and with a nice ethnic sample at the beginning. I think I heard it before somewhere but now at least I know what it is. Great opening.
I was never a fan of Psycraft. This track is also nothing really astonishing. Ok transition into it but that guitar.... urgh.
Nice transition into the next track. Almost passed unnoticed. But somehow, when the track starts fully, I think the volume level drops. Also a bit too dreamy track which, imo, is not so suitable after that Psycraft track. Anyway the track itself is ok. Picks up a bit in the end!
Next track strikes. Decent track, energetic enough to keep the things moving but nothing to remember really.
The next track is where I start to sense how things are picking up! Much better than the previous one!
26 min -> awesome!
Oh Sirius Isness, love this act. And this track is very good.
LOL at the Mario samples (38 min)
Well I couldn't write for the rest of the tracks separate thoughts because I had to do some work for my french courses. But it was rolling quite ok until the end. 56 min track was AWESOME ! The only complaint is that I think People Can Fly does not belong to this mix. Imo, it kinda ruined the flow at the end. Oh and the voice sounds really funny when the track is picthed up so much.
Anyway a classic is a classic.
So, overall I liked the mix, one of your very good ones. Thanks for the share. |
Hahaha!
Nice.. Thank Mag.. I can't really defend myself for the shotty transitions and level changes in some spots, as I was kinda messed up that night..
Gotta agree to disagree about the Psycraft track.. hahaha! It's one of my all time faves, even if its not my normal sound these days.
And for People Can Fly at the end, I had originally planned on ending the set with a couple more Goa influenced tracks but just couldn't stand behind the decks any longer (lower back injury was bothering me).
Appreciate the review, as always!
