Dan Ghenacia - Freak n' Chic - Paris, France

Dan Ghenacia came back from his mid nineties student trip in California with a bag full of psychedelic west coast house grooves. Once established again in Paris, he opens Traffic Records, a record shop that quickly became the reference in terms of nu-school house. But it's at his legendary Kwality afterparty residency at the Batofar that Dan Ghenacia developped his style, and became acknowledged as one of the most talented dj of his generation.
In 2002 Dan closes his shop and stop his Batofar residency and starts playing abroad. He's got his international breakthrough by scoring slots in top clubs like Fabric in London, Tenax in Florence or Back to Basics in Leeds and the becoming resident of We Love Sundays party @ Space and Circo Loco @ DC10 in Ibiza.
His collaborations with David Duriez (with whom he started producing and launched his label "Freak n'Chic"), Ivan Smagghe (with whom he ran a monthly residency at the Rex Club in Paris "The Other Way") and David K (with whom he's now producing all his tracks under the "U & I" moniker) added to his musical evolution.
Dan started also a FreaK n'Chic party on Sunday evening at in a old theatre in Paris called Le Zebre that became within a year one of the most talked about party in town. Guests includes luminaries like Luciano, Pier Bucci, Magda, John Tejada, Steve Bug, Damian Lazarus, Guido Schneider or Craig Richards.
Now Dan works closely with David K and Dyed Soundorom in order to concentrate both on the production side with dancefloors hits already under his selves as U & I on both FreaK n'Chic (Rockin'Fly) and Crosstown Rebels (Rebelone – Crocodile) and his label FreaK n'Chic with huge hits (like Abusator by Sweetlight) and hot newcomers (like :Terry: - Stop Talking and Jamie Jones - Amazon).
All of these made of Dan Ghenacia style a unique blend of deep house vibrations, pop culture and spiritual approach to the dancefloor.
