Deadmau5 - Clockwork... Seriously?

As per title. Is d34dM4Uz serious?
I've ignored a lot of his shit in the past because I guess everyone has their own tastes, but also because TA took care of it.

But this? Seriously this is just blatant plagiarism
(Unless of course Cygnus X has been credited)

For those who will ask for a sample, just imagine "The Orange Theme" with 1/8th notes. It is exactly that, no more, no less.

How lame, seriously.

The name gives it away.

A Clockwork Orange.

Even if that is the real title it's still under his name.

both 'the orange theme' and 'clockwork' use the theme from the above mentioned movie, so one can hardly plagarise the other

Sorry I was not aware that it was from a movie.
Anyway I'm sure you know what I meant.

Yay for my stupidity...

heh, no worries. i think the joke is not that he's rehashed an old melody but rather that he's done it in such a mundane, banal & uncreative manner

i still have nightmare images of a youtube video someone posted with armin opening a set with it, complete with second rate pyrotechnics and first rate jesus pose. it was like everything that was wrong with the world :|

I'm still trying to work out why Deadmau5 is so popular.

It actually goes back way farther than that. The song was originally composed by Henry Purcell for the Funeral March of Queen Mary II, who died in 1694.
