Are there any onboard synths in logic 8 that have a good midbass sound to do running basslines?? the kind that give some low end frequency but not much, more or less there for the melody and progression. thanks

ES1, ES2, ESP, or ESM come to mind. Just a matter of the right octave and EQing out what you don't need.

From the period I have used logic 5.5 I remember that ES1 was a very nice synth for fat basslines with a lot of bottom end.
