Martin Roth bass sounds

Hey.
i have been trying very long to get out similar bass sound like martin roth has. i am wondering what kind of vst-syntethizer he uses? how can i get those fat-ass sounds? i've been working on sylenth and other similar tools but i can't get even close. any advice?
I use ableton live.

There's a bass preset in ableton's operator that sounds pretty much exactly like the second one. The tricky part is getting it to sit well with your kick -- usually requires some careful compression and EQ'ing.

ah the mind-x bassline is so sick, I love it. Predator's preset "known digi" setting can get pretty close with the right drive, ensemble, and eq settings. In the same breathe as Sean, it's counter-intuitive for a lot of new producers to think one of the biggest factors in having a good bass is the Kick, but it really is. Creating the bass after tuning my kick (and adjusting them to each other) is the way i usually make my basslines.

yes, kick and bassline interaction is the key. the bassline itself is a very simple two osc saw/square sound.

Yeah! The kick is very important in those tracks.

Hard punchy kicksample with small decay,little bit compressor and eq is the main key.

Have to give a shot with predator to get the sensation seeker bass.

Maybe is it just compressor and eq question to get similar bass.
