Mind you, this type of music/lifestyle isn't the only thing I'm into.

top40, modern hiphop/rap and country gives me the urge to kill

so dating a chick who likes that stuff... gah.

i could date a rocker or into punk or alternative.

though i guess it depends on how much of your life revolves around clubbing as primary social activity

I think it would be tough, but every couple is different.

Personally, for me, I don't think I could date someone who is in the hip-hop/top 40 scene. I think a lot of us in the EDM scene share some hidden similarities that bring us together, just not at the surface.

With Sarah and I, we seem to be on the same path and with partying we're similar...same level FTW

Yes. I won't revela who because it's not my place. But a friend of mine on TA is getting married next year and is in a relationship with a women who doesn't like EDM AT ALL.

It's possible for some. Depends on the circumstance really. Personally... I think I could so long as they respected the fact I party... party hardy (compared to other scenes) and I do it quite frequently.

Good topic... umm... it really depends on many other things in the relationship.

If you have trust it can work. She can go out with her friends you can go out with your friends or one week go somewhere where she likes with her friends and the next week go somewhere where you like with your friends....

My gf doesn't like trance... and she seems to bring it up quite frequently, which pisses me off because she knows how passionate I am towards it. However, she really likes House (and other types of music), and it's one of those things that she's never really had anyone to talk about music so in depth with before that it's starting to change her perception a bit on trance itself.
One thing I've learnt is that no matter how much you think music runs your life... the "right" partner will always run it more

My GF has no interest in Electronic Music...which works perfectly for us. It allows us to have nights out without each other.

When we go to the cottage or long drives we listen to one of her CDs and then one of mine.
