[Tech-House] Greg Nicot - Nauseate (125bpm)

Hello,

I'm calling this tech-house but I don't know what it is really. Sort of Gui Boratto style, only not really

Anyway, pretty much done. Might need a few final touches but would like to get some feedback on the tune as it is.

Thanks for reading

Cheers

Greg

i like the sound youre conveying here but i have a question for you. why are you un-mastered tracks at such a low fucking volume? is this how you mix your tracks then you boost master?

Is it that low?

After mixing down, I put it through Waves L2 limiter and brought it up considerably louder. Didn't wanna push it much further as I was afraid of squashing the track and/or bringing in unwanted artifacts.

Was it still really that quiet?

EDIT:

Think I've fixed the issue. Had a rogue frequency in my kick that was causing it to peak higher than it should, which in turn meant I had less headroom to play with. Should be better now

I've updated the original link with the louder version..

sick intro, and you have air in your mix sounds good. sounds really good up intil that siney squarish synth pops in. i just dont like the properties of the synth, or eq. try to squeeze in some more fat if you could this could really add to the danceable drive you have going. pretty good shit. but when the pads come back, the mix fills in quite nicely. on that swirly pad, maybe you could try to incease the filter attack for more length but thats subjective, it sounds fine. everythign works well, the breaks fit -- awesome structure. love u

Cheers dudes for the feedback and thanks for taking the time to listen.

I've since made a few minor tweaks here and there, tried to improve the low-end and I've changed the kick completely for one that I think fits much better with the track.

Would love to know if you think it sounds better.

And if anyone else would like to comment, please do!

Thanks

I've updated the original link

definately sounds better, but I'd shorten it, it's gets a little bit too much, needs condensing by a minute or so
