Wanting to recreate an Activa drum/bassline

hi..
could anyone please tell me how activa done the deep driving bassline
along with the drums in his remix of filo and peri with eric lumiere shine on.not on the mission to copy his work all the time just want to know how its done,i have cubase along with reason 4(mostly use reason4).also how did he balance the drums and bass so well as in frequency wise...

In my opinion that's not a very driving bassline. It's just a simple off beat.
This is much more driving:

Anyways, this is so beyond the scope of a forum thread. You need YEARS of experience to produce at that level.
I'd say learn how to EQ properly. Proper use of compression. Learn syncopation, it's essential for the percussion to add drive.
Sound design is very important and often overlooked.
