Champions Hockey League 2008-2009

So this has begun. Today we had second games. Some info:

12 teams are in 4 groups. The twelve teams were drawn into groups of three. Each group will play a double round-robin and the best team will advance to the semi-finals.

After that:
Winner Group D vs. Winner Group B, Winner Group A vs. Winner Group C. Note: Any two clubs from the same country will be paired together for the semi-finals. Home ice advantage of the second game goes to the team with the better records in the group stage. The semi-final games will be played on December 10, 2008, and January 7, 2009.

The final games will be played on January 21 and 28, 2009. Home ice advantage of the second game goes to the team with the better records in the group stage.

Group A
Eisbären Berlin (Germany)
Metallurg Magnitogorsk (Russia)
Kärpät Oulu (Finland)

Group B
HV71 (Sweden)
Espoo Blues (Finland)
SC Bern (Switzerland)

Group C
Salavat Yulaev Ufa (Russia)
HC Slovan Bratislava (Slovakia)
HC České Budějovice (Czech Republic)

Group D
HC Slavia Praha (Czech Republic)

Linköpings HC (Sweden)

Results so far:
Eisbären Berlin 3-2 Kärpät Oulu
Kärpät Oulu 0-2 Metallurg Magnitogorsk

HV71 Jönköping 6-2 SC Bern
SC Bern 1-3 Espoo Blues

Salavat Yulayev Ufa 7-1 HC MOUNTFIELD Ceske Budejovice
HC MOUNTFIELD Ceske Budejovice 5-2 HC Slovan Bratislava

HC Slavia Prague 4-2 Linköpings HC
Linköpings HC 2-7 ZSC Lions Zurich

By the way I am really surprised that Zürich won 7-2 one of the best teams of Swedish league.
