you would be better off investing into a controller and mixing digitally if you are broke, than buying a piece of equipment that you will want to upgrade very soon if you want to keep learning.

Cheap out on the cdj's > cheaping out on a mixer.

it will always cost more to cheap out on a mixer in the long run, because the resale value of it is close to nil aka people won't want it used or will not want it at all.

it looks like a nice mixer. definately an alternative to the pioneer djm 400 or elcer nuo 2.... i just don't like where the cueing is on it.

true, true indeed i am contemplating the cdj's as a first buy , problem is of course must get a pair of those, quite the investment for a student (depends which ones of course) ,but an investment i will make for sure when ill have a steady income ,which isnt far away.
