WOW! -- What a spectacular night last Friday at ginger62... DJ SKAI played an amazing set that caused some major damage on the dancefloor!
We had such a great night that we've asked DJ Skai to stay in Vancouver a little longer to play one more time at Lobby!
Together with CanThrill resident DJ KRAIG, who is just back from vacationing in Cancun - and with the influence of the culture there, you can bet you'll hear some groovin Latin House beats... This night will definitely be a memorable Lobby experience! -- Not to mention he's newly engaged so this will be an engagement celebration @ Lobby!

SKAIs musical career started anno 1994. Soon after the son of Chilean immigrants finished his education as a DJ in Wiesbaden’s Park Café, he consequently was responsible for Saturday’s schedule there. Motownsoul, Danceclassics as well as R’n’B dominated his sets until he became open-minded towards other music-genres and found his passion for electronic music – House and Techno.
SKAI’s roots are manifested in the Rhein-Main-Scene. Clubs such as the famous Omen, Dorian Gray, Aoxa Moxoa and Palazzo but also labels like Harthouse, Eye Q and Overdrive shaped his career. As a result his passion for vinyl arose, which intensified through visits in record-stores in New York and London. 15 years later SKAI is considered as one of the most influential DJs either in the Rhein-Main-Area as well as in the international scene.
Gigs in Barcelona and Vancouver and of course his residency at the world famous Envy-My-Music-Events at the CocoonClub in Frankfurt outline this image. But that is not certainly everything that stands out in SKAIs career. For seven years SKAI directs the fate of the 50degree as a booker and Resident-DJ and for another eight years he has been one of the headliners for Frankfurts event-agency Envy.
Furthermore, he released the single “Mir Geht’s Gut”, which was a heavy success, and works on further releases with his long-time mate and DJ-Partner Amir under the alias Groove Rebels. But top-notch of SKAI’s career remains his passion for Housemusic, which never impaired even when he slipped into other music-genres in the past. No, through the renaissance of Housemusic especially through labels like Below, Cecille, Connaisseur or Oslo SKAI’s passion for groovy, driving and percussive music appeared – his personal rebirth followed.
