Due to the economy and other complicated bullshit, I am now unemployed. The upside is that I have at least 8 months to collect benefits, more time to work on music, and freedom to play gigs without taking off of work the day after.
I'm going to miss the $500-700 a week paychecks though.

hey everyone, I got a good friend who's in the staffing biz, hit me up with resumes and I can forward em all on. Some of you might know my buddy Weezar, she got him an interview the same DAY he went and saw her, he just started the job a couple of days ago (less than a week after the interview)
so... if you need/want work... lemme know I'll help as best I can.

I'm creating one using helmetstohardhats.com, but here's the thing...
The $500-700 a week was going to turn into $900-1400 when I turned out as a journeyman plumber (new/high rise construction not service). I really *don't* know of anywhere else I can walk in off the street with no skills and get that kind of salary. And..I got that job because I knew someone.
I do have some skills and 1 and a half worth of hours accrued toward getting a state plumbing license, but beyond that..the only work history I got is working at part time, min wage jobs at Target, HEB Warehouse, and a grocery store. And believe me...I'm never going back to doing that shit again.
As far as college, I didn't qualify for the GI Bill..and if I did I know of no career fields that would be the right ones to go into once I got a degree. I don't mean to sound negative or bitter here, I'm just telling it like it is.
If you or Matthew D know of something I dont..I'll forward the resume once I get it together. In the meantime I'll collect the unemployment and see if I can't produce anything with the free time.
