howdy folks, basically looking for old pioneers to leave their comments, as psydust aka wolf24 is back.. this rmx needs more work, however due to exams and other complications i am unable to finish it, so heres as it is, not looking for any critisizm on structure, rather sound overall, mixing, concept, rhythm, performance, harmony, instrumentation, again i am aware that arrangement and song structure are absent.

heres the link

hey mate,

nice to hear something from you again

how is it going for you? school/uni/work is a bitch eh? I am not getting half the time I need for producing. And if I got 2-3 days of free time, I feel to lazy to actually sit down and work on a track.

Anyway. Lets listen.
nice electro beat in the beginning. you should keep this in the final track at some point. some nice panning then. One thing springs to mind first, that is the reversed kickdrum. It is not synced perfectly with the actual kick, this results in a scratchy and phased kick attack. Also I would put a limiter on kick + reversed kick in order to make it not feel so loud.

Theres a lot of good stuff however, like a lot of sweet FX, fades, sweeps, panning, its all there. lush high arps @3:10, these are great. Layering in the end seems pretty nice to me. The electro acid synth thing you have going on most of the time is sitting in the mix really well. Cant complain about the bass either. Only the kick and the other drums feel maybe a little dry. Maybe a slight bit of distortion or bitcrushing on the hihats, and then a bit of compression? Maybe a bit less mids on the kickdrum? The kick feels a bit hard for this kind of track. Maybe choose a different sample, something with more bottom "roundness".

anyway, these are just a few thoughts. I think overall this has got some potential. Hope you get this one finished
