BLUE MOUNTAIN PREPARES FOR OPENING DAY

Collingwood, ON. – November 21, 2008 – Blue Mountain Resort has received 10 cm of fresh powder in the past 24 hours and with opening day top of mind snowmaking is underway. Weather and conditions permitting, the resort tentatively plans to open for skiing and snowboarding, Friday, November 28th. Anticipation of this date is palpable however the plan is reliant on temperatures throughout the coming week.

Total accumulation of snow to date is 55.5 cm with more expected today and overnight. Although ideal snowmaking weather and conditions are present over the next couple of days, temperatures are expected to rise into next week which could affect plans for opening.

Operations crews are keeping a close eye on the forecast to maximize snowmaking and ensure that everything is shaping up to provide great early season skiing and riding conditions. With quality as a top priority the resort reminds guests to monitor our website regularly for conditions updates and the status of opening day plans.

drove from tremblant to toronto 7hours straight last year after snowboarding the whole day... rough!

I hope I don't re-injure my knee I hurt it in the beginning of March and it still bothers me sometimes. I'm trying to decide whether to go to physio.
