Dog Running Headphone Recommendations? Comfort + Quality!

Hello friends. I am moving to an apartment and regrettably won't be able to pump my music anymore so I have decided to get a new headset. I listen for extended periods so comfort is important... but, most of all... sound quality. I also need a mic.

I listen to trance about 80% of the time... so who better to ask for advice!

My budget is around $150 but I am lenient and would like to find a good priceerformance ratio.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I do alot of gaming so I am looking for a headset*, that is mic + headphones!

i've been stuck on HD 280 pro. the best part is that every... well part... is replaceable. if something breaks or wears down you can order directly from their factory. that's if you go past the 2 year warranty already set on them.

i've replace the little cushion on the headband once after it worn out. and everything else has been in good shape (knock on wood) for the past 2.5 years i've had these - i had a cheaper sennheiser pair before (forget what those were). the hd 280's run about 100-120 dollars depending on where you find them.

they're comfortable for me because i have a huge head and they're a little wider in their setting than others. for example - techniques headphones squeeze my head and just feel too loose on the actual earpiece. the sennheisers i have feel snug.

the only problem i've encountered is that they can't handle a lot. spinning lounges and house parties is just fine. but if a club has a great sound system then you can't push these things far enough and sometimes have to go off of instinct. they'll overload past a certain point - and i never bothered to find out what that point is in terms of #s so i can't tell you.

but they're durable. easy to maintain. and work great in most situations. plus they're pretty average on price and won't hit your wallet hard.

i'm sure there's better headphones out there but i stick with these because they work for me.

I've had the same pair of Sony V600s since 2003.

i love them to death. they're comfy and they sound amazing.

your whole ear fits inside them so they don't squish.

i didn't read your post so i don't know if they're for "on the go" but if it's for home they're perfect. you can probably pick them up for $60.

Yep, I use those too. Great headphones. Getting a little worn after 2 years or so, but still sound fucking wicked

I use the Hd 202's for just general listening best headphones ever, i have stepped on them dropped them let friends borrow them they work fine. And the sound quality is the best i have heard for any headphones under 50 dollars.

They are pretty cheap at only $20. So if you are willing to spend 100 check out the hd 280 pro.

sigh... friends don't let friends buy BOSE. Probably the worst quality products of any company.

For comfy, lightweight awesome quality listening right in your budget, I'd go with AKG k240's:

I'd stick with Sennheisers myself. I've got the 280, 580, 590 and all have been immaculate. I think you'd be looking at the pc151's

bose actually has fantastic products

they put more money into r&d than any other speaker/headphone company out there

that being said, they may not be for everyone

(my quiet comfort 2, over ear bose headphones are my fave set for listening to music for long periods of time, very comfortable and not fatiguing. great for planes and traveling too!!)
