After 2,5 years of mixing digital only I now move back to my loved 1210 and thought about getting a digital vinyl system. What in your opinion is the best system? Are the cheaper ones worth a try?

I did the same thing. Traktor scratch all the way especially if you want the best of digital and vinyl put together in one package.

Used traktor (a bit) and serato (loads) - Either is good but for some reason I prefer the interface of Serato. it just works so well and is easy to navigate.

IMO, Serato and Traktor owns torq, for reasons of stability, latency and feel.

I posted this in the other DVS thread:

"Go for Torq. I've had it since it came out a few years ago and it works flawlessly on a 6 1/3 year old Dell laptop of mine. The features to price ratio can't be beat."

And I'll add, the newest version 1.07 is as stable as the other DVS's out there without a doubt. (I've used them all).

I've been using Torq for the past year and love it, for the price, features, and stability (yes stability) of 1.07 it has been great. I never had problems with the stability of 1.06 (besides jackass bouncers plugging scanners into my outlets, but that is another thread). So my vote is Torq.
