O.J. Simpson Sentenced 15 Years in Las Vegas

Authorities want O.J. to get 18 years AP LAS VEGAS – A broken O.J. Simpson has been sentenced to at least 15 years in prison for a Las Vegas hotel armed robbery by a judge who rejected his apology and said, "It was much more than stupidity."

Simpson stood stone-faced Friday when Judge Jackie Glass quickly rattled off his punishment after he pleaded with her that he didn't mean to steal from anybody when he tried to retrieve memorabilia.

He appeared ready to break down in tears as he told that he was "sorry and confused" before going into a rambling and emotional 5-minute declaration.

"I didn't want to steal anything from anyone ... I'm sorry, sorry," he said.

Glass ruled before sentencing that Simpson cannot be freed on bail pending possible appeal.

He should have admitted killing his ex and Ron while speaking to the judge.

he should consider himself lucky he got an extra 15 years in the outside world. To literally get a way with murder, and still manage to get your self locked up later for armed robery.

I say he pays big time in prison, on behalf of Big Carl in cell 22. The whites will be after him inside

Not very good IMO.

The guy is pretty healthy for his age and in jail they are going to pretty much worship the guy...

Solitary confinement for 9 years is pretty tough!

No they wont.

If he was a child murder or rapist yeah maybe. But he is murderer and since he didn't get convicted, he didn't murder anyone.

Look at all the pics that you see of him partying, all the people are having a great time because they are enamored with him. In jail it will be like that + more. A lot of the guys in jail know him from football so he will be a celebrity in jail.

The problem for him is that to get parole....you need to admit that you did the crime and that your sorry and remorseful, and he just can;t bring himself to admit what he did. Maybe 9 years will change his mind though?

The other issue for him is that even though in this trial, the judge was very careful to not allow his previous actions to become part of considerations (and by law they are not), in a parole hearing, previous crimes, including statements and testimonial from victims are considered and even encouraged.

OJ aint getting out anytime soon.

The strangest story: Apparently, Jack Nicholson was playing golf at an exclusive golf course in LA, one morning. He bumps in to OJ at one of the holes, who's looking very disheveled and they Tee off. jack makes his shot, then OJ goes to. OJ misses it and jack takes the piss out of him and OJ absolutely erupts, swearing profusely swinging the club around, and threatening Jack. Jack tells him to calm the fuck down and eventually he does. OJ the apologises to jack saying....

"Sorry man, I was up all night doing coke".....the murders broke later that day in the news.
