is dental floss supposed to go bad?

just ran out of floss but found a partially used one in the cabinet. when i started using it i almost threw up because it tasted like uncooked chicken. is dental floss supposed to have an expiry date? there was nothing noted on the package. incidentally it had been stored in a cool dry place.

i dont think it goes bad...
however, if something near where it was stored or came in contact with it (some sort of bacteria) then it could go bad.

The fact that you thought old, used dental floss was ok, gives me some insight into why you would even start such a thread.

Good job on the oral hygiene, but fack, spring for the $0.30 and buy some new floss.

i had apple peel stuck between my teeth, no toothpicks either, otherwise i fully intended to get a new reel tomorrow.
