[dubtechno] Antelia - Metempsychosis

Recorded a longer dubby techno track today. It was planned to be around 8 mins, but I got carried away with messing with the filters and delays so it ended up being 14 mins. It's recorded live.

It's a deep, minimalistic and monotone track.

I might cut it down by 3-4 mins. Feedback would be lovely.

solid track man, really love the work on the delays, keeps it moving nicely. Cut it down to 8 minutes and you've got a winner

Thanks mate

Yeah, I had all the delay parameters mapped on my mixer. I guess you can't really programme nice delays...they tend to come out a bit too robotic and you can't feel the flow of the track.

Will cut it down to 8-10 mins

Would it be possible to get an MP3 when you're finished?

Cheers! My earlier tracks had lots of bass, I was going for a more mellow sound this time. I'll test it in the club on NYE, so I might bring out the bass a bit more.

I don't have any money for proper monitors, so it's really hard to combine headphones and crappy computer speakers

I'll take a little break and will try to give it a final touch and cut it down. But we'll see, not to keen on sharing it atm though. Hope you understand

You could check out some earlier Question records by Marco Carola!!! Especially Question 6!!! Beautiful stuff!

hehe, neither do i really, they lack bass so i just produce on sony 7506's and it sounds good on them. just a tad bit too much hi-mids maybe on my end

Nice Production

Thought your track has very nice production. Definitely label ready. Cut it down to 8min for sure. Bass sounds fine on my end. Wouldn't go more bass if I was you. Great Job!

8 minutes is fine if you want to release it

but jamming out with record on for 20 minutes straight is just too fun

nice production

nothing new to hear though. sounds like moeller/stefanik/deadbeat or something on instabil. another maurizio clone

that's a compliment to your production quality and i respect the live performance, but i don't know if i'd buy it because i have 100 tracks like this

but again, very solid and nice on the ears.

length is absolutely fine. only a shit dj would play the whole thing, and for home listening you want to hear the whole thing unfold.

i think an 8 minute track is too nicely packaged, it becomes too commoditized. music takes time to unfold, to reveal itself. especially this type of music.
