I'm running a budget, AV setup until I can get a real job and afford a real system.

- 27" 720p/1080i Samsung CRT (the blacks are just insane)
- Creative Extigy with an optical switcher for all my inputs
- Logitech 5300z 5.1 system @ 280W RMS
- Xbox, ps2, with optical out running to the optical switcher
- XBMC on the xbox, networked to get all my media in one place


I put the entire system together for about $700, TV included. It all works quite well together, especially in a smaller space since the speaker system is a bit under powered. The xbox does nicely to upscale all my dvds, and divx shows to 720, so they look just gorgeous on that TV.
