Syncope - Elektrika / Stamp Tramp EP [ER011]

Echelon Records presents you the first Syncope EP, “Elektrika / Stamp Tramp EP”.

Syncope is a newly-found Finnish electronic dance music production duo. Having their first EP released through Echelon in December, Syncope brings their modern, deep and experimental sound out to the public. Syncope's style is quite hard to determine as the producers combine several different genres together - some recognisable elements and trademarks include deep basslines with exceptional percussion and drums. Mainly their sound would be defined as progressive trance, progressive and tech house with hints of minimal in the beats. Quality club material for those who love to hammer their crowds.

SYNCOPE - ELEKTRIKA / STAMP TRAMP EP

1) Elektrika (Original Mix)

The EP starts with a clubby and progressive tune called Elektrika. The song is a mixture of progressive house, techno and trance – the beat begins with intriguing drum elements and deep bassline, and then presents a tricky main theme that makes the audience smile and hammer the beat in the air even harder with their hands. The breakdown smoothly changes the genre to melodic trance for a short moment, and lets a beautiful piano theme circle the dancefloor until smoothly changing the genre back to progressive house with impressions from techno.

2)Stamp Tramp (Original Mix) *click for sample*
The second track on the EP is quite different compared to the first one – strongly influenced with minimal and techno, Stamp Tramp is a funny, banging club track composed for audience that requires something different and trippy for their ears. The beat begins with a groovy bassline and unique drums that in whole create a pumping atmosphere. When the song continues several effect-like sounds are added in with trippy changes in the beat, and the strong jamming stops only for one short moment until it continues to pump even more of the audience. As one of the listeners described: 'Listening to Stamp Tramp is like being the main character in a video game, lasers flying everywhere.'

“Nice combination of techno and progressive, and a superb breakdown on Elektrika.” – DJ Orion, [YleX]

“Stamp Tramp is a twisted, wicked track. Love the synths and sounds of it!” – Ariel Cybana, [Digitally Imported]
“Really diggin' Stamp Tramp!" – Matt Darey, [Darey Products, Virgin, BMG]
