Read This! Turntables - Which to buy?

Hey guys thanks for looking , need a little help

Just sold my CDJ's and im looking into buying TT's

Im currently using Numark virtual Vynil as well.. Im gonna be playing mostly dance, house, and a bit of hip hop, but scratching is not of any importance to me..

Know i keep hearing everyone say "get technics" and i've heard many reasons why, but they just dont sound so dramatic for me to drop about 7 bills on turntables... i saw some stantons and gemini TT's for cheap and wanted to get more info from DJ's that use TT's themselves .. any help/feedback?

Vestax make some awesome TTs though they can be a little pricey they are good solid tables.
I was going to buy TTs before I ended up going with CDJs and ableton and was having a go on all the different makes and models I could, build quality they are on par with Technics easily.

either Stanton ST150's or techs.

You won't go wrong with either.

Techs do just have that certain something when you use them, not sure what it is but they are just a bit nicer than other TTs.

Cheap Gemini's are cheap for a reason.

Exactly.
These days everyone is offloading used techs. When it's time to pay rent (end of month) you can usually get a nice set (in my City) for 500-700$

They last forever. One of my older ones dates back to 1978.

Technics for sure. Easy to maintain cheap to fix, and craigslist is littered with them. If you get lucky you can find a really good pair. I got 1210s for 600 with 2 mixers, ~300vinyl, 2 anvil cases, and a coffin. They are all gone now since ive gone cdj though .

Whatever TT you take, make sure it is direct drive and not belt driven.

Also you could consider SynQ xtrm-1, reloop rp-6000, stanton T.120 (or ST-150). Those and a few others from other brands are internally the same, only different brands and little differences (some have line-out, others only have phono, ...). They can compare with the technics easily (I don't have this from personal experience though, but I read about it a lot). And the biggest advantage is they're a lot cheaper then the technics.

I have the SynQ's and am very happy with them.

Review about these "super oem's"

They can't compare with the Technics unless a newbie is using them. Generally, the only people who own them are newbies so the reviews are almost always positive as a result. Vicious circle.

Anybody who plays out on a regular basis wants Technics at home.

Anybody who plays out regularly probably doesn't use vinyl anymore.

Any good table is fine, but you can't really go wrong with 1200's.
