I currently have a gemini ps 676, but now want to upgrade. I have my eye on the Vestax PCV-150 but of 4 channels and also is 19". Or how about the 175 or 275? Any comments?

well, would you really need 4 channels? I know I don't, I hardly use my third channel on my 275, but its usefull when I do need it. Read my post on the 275 to see what I think of mine.,

The 275 seems very nice. Does anyone know anything about the 150?

The 150 has no kills while the 175 does..
150 has the SAME amount of inputs than the 175.. its just that the extra channel spreads then out more evenly...
the 175 doesnt have a better monitor lighting than the 150
150 doesnt have the xtra effect adjustments
the 150 doesnt have the 175's channel balance
the 175 doesnt have the 150's cue split
the 175 doesnt have have the 150's channel on/off buttons
i would go the 175 even though the 150 looks very nice... they should be around US$300 with the 150 being less than the 175..
though watch out for 175's that dont have a protective coating over the mixer so the paint cant get scratched.. my friend bought one from a batch like that and had it returned for repairs..
One VERY important thing, on the 175, you cannot hear EQ changes in the headphones. this is essential, at least to me.
I got the 275, better mixer all around, and i got it for $300 american used from a trance addict.

yeah i frgot about that.. but the 275 new is about $100 more than than its little brother.. the cuts on the rotarys are also only -16db
but it is a good mixer
Well.. 16db is quite a bit isn't it?
the mid actually only has 12db on the 275
BUT, there are also frequency isolaters that CUT the frequency completely off, if you turn all of them on, you hear silence. so if you want more than 16db of cut for the bass, just flip the switch.
to me, that's worth an extra $100, and like i say, i got a killer deal on the 275.

To be completely Honest With you, You get what you pay for...
Also there are only really 3 or 4 companys that manufacture the components that go into all the Different Models and different Labeled Mixers.
With any make, whether it be Rare, Vestax, Pionerr or Allan & Heath etc. You only start Hitting quality around the top end of the market...
The bottom end of the market all use the same components and it is unfortunately features and DJ Help Gizzmos that make a Cheap mixer worth while.

Also one quality you should always look for is a decent db cut...
38 db is a complete kill to the human ear...so obviously the closer to this...the better...
A 16 db cut was even outdated in the late 80's and I cant see a mixer being much use to a trance DJ with on 16 db cut on it.
