KRK rokits are quite popular, I've heard them and they are pretty good.
Myself, I picked up a pair of M-Audio BX5a's and I love them.
It all depends on your price range though, if you have a higher budget you can start getting into Mackies and Tannoys.

The most important thing in studio monitors - is how the mix made on them, sounds from other sourņes...
With good monitors your mixes sounds good everywhere, on club sound system or notebook speaker.
