How does it work when a producer remix a track? I mean how does it work when you need the vocals from a track...? Do they contact the producer and ask for the vocals or do they just use some filters to clean the voclas so the instruments in the background disappear?
Plz tell me! I need to know!

Usually, both artists contact eachother and swap samples etc.
Don't really see another way of doing it properly (with filtering etc)
