I was thinking of coming down to Toronto with some friends tonight, but I can see that there isn't many big djs this weekend because of the clubs spending money on NYE.
many venues in toronto are closed tonight. guv is one of the few that are open.

it's a quiet period first few weeks of january, and you're allowed to pick the time frame for your permit suspensions within reason (about 4-6 months if i recall). most bars and clubs will pick a quiet period just after a long weekend or holiday period since it is understandably slower, and usually take the opportunity to do some modifications since they already have to be closed (or opt to be since they can't serve liquor).
