im thinking of buying the efx unit....im just wondering for those who have used both or any...maybe even know if its worth spending more money on the 1000...or if the 500 is fine enough...

Great vibes at wave house this afternoon, but not sure what dahlback played that cheesy god awful music after me, didnt even know i was on the same gig as these guys!! lol ... seriously what the hell is that sound!! eeeekkkk

The 1000 is a better unit then the 500. The digital I/O & extra effects on the 1000 are a real plus but I don’t think they are worth the extra cash especially if its for home use. I say buy a used 500 & you’ll be happy with both the unit & money saved.

The 500 is cheap and fun and easier to use
Hands down the 1000 is way better sound quality and the ability to use a digital connection to say the pioneer djm1000 is excellent
however the cost puts it out of the hobby price range so If its for home use get the 500 (i sold mine for $250)
if you are using it in a club the 1000 far outclasses it and has a very noticable edge in sound quality
