The Beach Boys - I Just Wasn't Made For These Times (Mezzir Remix)

For some reason a few weeks back I was spacing out and thought that the beach boys's voice would sound really cool over club music, I think at the time I was listening to this mixtape I found Rich Kids Work For Me (mixing's ehh but good tracklist, lotsa trendy new stuff that I'm half ashamed to like ala Bloody Beetroots remix of Summer of 89), but anyways the thought occurred to me so I've set out to make it work. This isn't meant to be any great work of artistic vision, but really just a sweet white label to surprise the dancefloor with. Cheese, yes, but who the fuck cares. Also, I apologize in advance to any Beach Boys fans, but whats done is done.

Tindeck and Soundcloud are both down at the moment, so dropbox it is for hosting:

As always, any/all feedback is appreciated, positive or negative, thanks

It's a great start. The vocals seemed kind of naked and alone but they seem like they're detached from the music in the original version by the Beach Boys, too.

The edits, around and through the vocals have some good ideas present but could use a lot more finessing. I'd like more of a music bed to support them, too - but that could just be my own tastes. Nice voice and good singing.

The synth lead has some good ideas but could use some development.

I like the reverb vocals towards the end.

i really liked this, it was unique and you did a good job breakbeating (stuttering) and all that. i also liked that your riffs were relatively complicated. the ending vocals were awesome too =D keep at it.
