Background Acid Sound

Hey does anyone know what synth or preset is used for this sound .. Have been hearing it alot recently !

Dj Shah Feat. adrina - Back To You ( Aly & Fila Mix )

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=L7BKi_xZJno

It can be heard in the background from 0:30

The Doppler Effect - Beauty Hides In The deep ( John o Callaghan Mix)

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=GWvs2nlPABs

a similar sound can be heard from 1:43

Can anyone help me to re-create this sound or is it from a particular preset ..

Thanks in advance !

Start with a pulse wave. You may also layer it with another pulse an octave down for extra thickness. Filter it with lots of resonance. Use an 18 or 24dB/octave filter. Set the polyphony to mono, add portamento. Distort with an appropriate distortion effect. You really have to try different distortion effects here until you find the right one. Now create a nice pattern and automate the filter cutoff.

Acid ?

Would look up subjects on how to make that TB 303 squeal.

But there must be tonnes of samples around , but it sounds like a TB sample Eq'ed lower and filtered.

Well the TB did have a huge influence and alot of copycat hardware was made. But we are in modern day production , so it must be a nexus preset , 303lead in the single layer leads section to be precise.

How little faith you have in today's producers.
