Dark Days

Such a great documentary, probably one of the best I have ever seen.

It is basically about the homeless living in the Nyc train tunnels. The whole film was captured in black and white, and the director, Marc Singer, actually went and lived with them for some time. He also employed the homeless as part of his crew.

You can watch the first 10 minutes of the movie on youtube:

But I suggest you watch the whole thing on netflix

edit: i also think you can watch the whole thing for free here http://www.veoh.com/videos/v6261498mqGaaTX2?autoWatch=true

and lol

Meh...I'm sure they all have sob stories, but the truth is I have no sympathy for a person who just says ah fuck it, and CHOOSES to be homeless. Why should we feel sorry for people who do nothing to help themselves and expect the rest of us to give them food, money, shelter? Some of these bums make upwards of $100/day just standing in the turn lanes pretending to be this and that.

the problem is that they get caught in a cycle that screws them over, and they cant get any services and documentation without an address. no one will give them a job, bank account, welfare, etc. without an address.

Some homeless friends of mine in Kingston Canada(mostly natives) are fucking swell guys. Save your rhetoric for when you have been born and raised in a native reserve and come out on top.

Oh please....anyone can get a damn job. Explain the situation to an employer and a bunch will hire u. Start there, start making some money, get a place to live with others in you're situation, and improve yourself. Labor jobs are perfect places to start such as construction, lawn maintenance, etc. I know a bunch of lawn service guys that pay under the table, and pay well.

In US and A you got the Mexicans stealing the homeless's potential jobs

And from what I have seen, employers weren't overly enthusiastic like you described

and i wish getting a job was so easy for someone living in Turkmenistan, Nepal, Yemen, Liberia, Gaza Strip, and on and on

It's too cold to work in Nepal (wait Sherpa's make great money), and the others are busy praying and shooting each other...way more important than working.
