AVB getting repetitive?

I've noticed that Armin's tracks these days aren't getting as much praise and response as they used to. I still love listening to his stuff, but I can't help but notice that his style hasn't changed much. Does anyone else think he's losing popularity as a producer (not a DJ )?

well his remix of Janeiro sounded a lot like the one of rapture to me. though loads of tracks these days seem to sound like tracks I’ve heard before, with just slight changes of the sound. They have just cut and pasting a sound they have used before. Like most artists seems to keep to a same type of formula to ensure that a track won't flop. guess, it keeps a steady flow of ok tracks coming, but nothing outstanding. Maybe when he comes out with some new tracks that sound a lot different then his material now he will spark some interest. Not to insult his tracks now, I like sunspot. just nice to see artist take some risk and try some different., eh orbital has always seemed to do very different things on albums, I haven’t always liked them but I respect their goal not to be the same album I heard before.

Every producer has their same signature 'sound' (airwave, airscape, tiesto, etc...) I don't think Armin is falling into a rut of repetitive garbage (IMO his remix of Rapture sounds NOTHING like Janeiro) ... Just appreciate his music for what it is, because he is truly a quality producer.

Nope U 're wrong. Every dj has his own sound and style and off course U can hear that sound back in his mixes and tracks. But I don't want do call it repetitive.

What are his newest releases (so I can tell whether I agree)? Exactly how old are Dustwave, The Sound of goodbye and future funland?

Dont all producers get repetetive at some point? Ferry got repetitive then he came out with PUNK....and derailed that repetetive train.

Many djs have their own unique style. Armin is known for what he does and he doesn't change it. The only dj that probably doesn't stick with his own style is Paul Oakenfold. Only if we could have 99-2000 oakenfold!

Compared to the likes of Svenson & Gielen, Armin Van Buuren is FAR from repetitive!!

yes there are more remixers who are more repetitive, Donald & Giles being one that sticks out in my head. Proagressive and don't want your love being ones that sound too alike. though simply becuase we can compare to peopl ethat are even worse dosn't make it that much better. yea the 99-2000 oakenfold!
was the best .heeh o well.
