Full purchased wav samples Vs compressed internet shared samples

So I really want a test between a full bought sample library vs the same sample pack downloaded of a torrent site which usually is compressed to a smaller file that can result in data loss. Since i don't have the funds to purchase a sample library maybe someone on here alreadys knows through experience and can shed light on this topic. One question i have is the sample's waveform, is it different than the one that is compressed? If using only bought samples you will have the tru pro sound?

If they're compressed to mp3 then yes you lose some quality.

Discussing torrents is not really allowed on this forum, so inb4thelock.

every time you are in the studio making stuff keep it. render the sample to a wav. save it to your hard drive. this is the best way in the long run.
i do use sample packs through specific points off the track then replace them with my own work.

you will learn in time their is no real difference between a pro sample pack and a freebie one.

I would say once you add the samples to a track nobody will be able to tell any difference (unless the files are compressed really, really badly).

Agreed, and not only that, but, the more effects, ie- compression, delay, reverb, ect... will mask most compression issue's. And it also depends on the material. Like, if you use something bass heavy in a sample thats mp3, it will prolly sound weaker, but, there are many ways to compensate if u really are diggin the sample.

Whenever i make anything a 4-4 kick loop sweep anything i take a sec and save a mixdown into my own little folder. At first I never used them but as it grew there is always somethin i can use in there.

Processing a highly structured and complex pattern of sensory input as a unified percept of "music" is probably one of the most elaborate features of the human brain.....understanding how music is perceived and how it may elicit intense sensations is far from being understood.
